Over 40 years of log building expertise
We have been building high-quality log structures from Saarijärvi since 1985. Our operations began on a small scale with round log buildings, but systematic development, expansion of production facilities, and continuous investment in modern machinery laid a strong foundation for long-term growth.
International trade has been a key part of our company’s success for more than 30 years. During the 1990s, exports to Japan became our most significant international market, where trust in our expertise and long-term partnerships laid the groundwork for successful cooperation. At the turn of the millennium, we expanded our production to include laminated logs, and in the 2000s our exports grew further to Greece and Germany delivering over 230 log houses to Germany alone.
Today, exports account for approximately half of our annual revenue, placing us among the most experienced and capable log house manufacturers in Finland for international markets. Over more than 40 years, we have delivered over 4,000 buildings to 27 countries across four continents. Our portfolio includes a wide range of projects, from private homes and holiday villas to hotels and even an award-winning 700 m² hospital in Japan.
Despite being a small family-owned company, our high standards, technical expertise, and deep understanding of log construction have earned the trust of clients worldwide. Many of our international customers rely on us to manufacture buildings delivered to the other side of the world, on time, with consistent quality, and according to demanding specifications.
In 2014, we completed the largest investment in our company’s history by constructing a 1,600 m² production hall and a new office building. Our modern machinery, strict quality control, and continuous development ensure that every project meets the highest standards. We use only carefully selected, high-quality timber sourced from trusted sawmills, and all our products carry CE certification.
Our company has always been built on long-term commitment and careful financial management. Even during unstable economic periods, we have remained a reliable partner. Our equity ratio consistently exceeds 90%, and our credit rating has remained at AA or AAA level throughout our history. We have also maintained the Finnish Asiakastieto Strongest Platinum rating for 18 consecutive years.

Experience measured in millions of log metres – across three generations
High-quality log construction is never a coincidence, it requires precise planning, modern machinery, and decades of expertise. Over the years, we have processed millions of metres of logs, optimized our production processes, and refined our working methods to ensure exceptional dimensional accuracy and consistent quality. Experience combined with technology makes us a reliable partner even for the most demanding projects.
While the people behind the work have changed over time, our craftsmanship and know-how have remained. Every building we manufacture is approached with the mindset that we are building it as if it were for ourselves.
The majority of our processing takes place in our own facilities, allowing us to maintain strict quality control at every stage of production. Laminated logs are glued, planed, and fully processed in-house using sawn timber sourced externally. Planed log blanks are partly sourced from sawmills and partly sawn by us directly from logs. Round logs are manufactured entirely in-house, from raw timber to finished product.
We source premium-grade pine logs from carefully selected forest stands in cooperation with the Forest Management Association, ensuring access to the highest-quality raw materials. Using our own planing machinery, we produce all required timber components from structural boards and floor planks to log panels, ensuring consistency and superior quality throughout every project.
Awards and recognition
Over the years, our company has received several recognitions for high-quality and long-term work. In 1997, we were named Entrepreneur of the Year in Saarijärvi, and in 2004 we received the Central Finland Entrepreneur of the Year award as the first and to this day the only company from Saarijärvi to receive this distinction.
Our most significant and internationally recognized achievement came in 2021, when we won the Japan Log House Grand Prix (Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Prize). This prestigious award is presented annually in Japan in a national log house construction competition and represents an official recognition by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The competition evaluates structural quality, technical execution, and innovation in design.
The awarded project was a mental health clinic constructed using a double-log structure. This recognition highlights the global appreciation of Finnish log building expertise and demonstrates that our production and design meet the highest international quality standards.
While these awards mark important milestones for our company, our greatest recognition continues to be the trust of our customers, a distinction no competition can replace.
